When the jackets delivered to school, Board of Elected Leaders had to sort out the jackets and respective CCA BEL will collect on behalf of the CCA. They had to spend time to distribute to their teammates and handle any discrepancies. 2. How had it been experimented and enacted? This year we had arranged the vendor to be on site on 1 of the common recesses. Scheduled the students in batches to collect their orders directly from the vendor. 3. Which group(s) had benefited? Students (Selected Groups), Teaching Staff (Selected Groups), Non-Teaching Staff (Selected Groups) 4. What was the positive impact? Individual Student takes ownership and learns to check for any defects upon receipt. Lessen the BELs burden. 5. What is a future need that this IdEas@work could meet? Will explore with the vendor to

(1) There was feedback that our girls are very helpful but they can be more spontaneous. (2) We wanted to ensure we are a first choice school and we would love to have students from SAP primary schools join us too. (3) We wanted to capture the attendance rate even more accurately. (4) We wanted to feature more of our diverse programmes to provide a more holistic overview to our visitors. (5) We wanted to continue to streamline processes to enhance efficiency. (6) Continued to use social media to add vibrancy. (7) Alignment of publicity materials to new Strategic Plan. 2. How had it been experimented and enacted? (1) The programme was tight and the weather was very humid so we were conce

Student Leadership @ Open House 2024

Department/Committee/Team: Relations & Heritage Committee and Student Leadership Committee Leader(s): Deline Victoria Soh and Sarah Goh Member(s): Olivia Chee, Tay Soo Eng, Saw Pei Lin, Phua Tan Gek Hoon Initiated On: 3/11/2024 Completed On: 4/6/2024 1. What was the current need/gap that you were addressing? There were a couple of people who commented that our Open House is very inviting and informative but the students are not as spontaneous. This is not a true reflection, so the Student Leaders took on the challenge of performing two Flash Mobs and indeed both were well received and added to the energy. Theur spontaneous displays of enthusiasm and unity captivated our guests' attention and also created an unforgettable atmosphere, showcasing the vibrant spirit of our school community. In addition, visitors who wanted to join the guided tour of the campus used to wait at the Audi foyer. To make their wait more enjoyable and to show our commitment to making every aspect of the

Department/Committee/Team :  Relations & Heritage Committee and NYAV Leader(s):   Deline Victoria Soh Member(s) : Mark Tan, Mark Shone, Ms Siau Initiated On:  1/15/2024 Completed On : 5/17/2024 1. What was the current need/gap that you were addressing? There is no such video to begin with , hence Principal mooted the idea that R&H could produce a video for use when we travel overseas to recruit scholars. What better way than to let them see for themselves and hear for themselves from the horse's mouth. After discussing with Mark Tan and NYAV, we took on the project. 2. How had it been experimented and enacted? Olivia and Verane are the two students in charge and they worked closely with Mark and me to brainstorm and draw up the storyboard. They had to research and try out new techniques. They also learnt from Mark Tan. Then they also discussed questions for interviewees with me and we worked on the edits as a team. Sometimes we had to make the painful decision to not use

What was the current need/gap that you were addressing? Our corporate video was very outdated and no longer relevant. 2. How had it been experimented and enacted? Instead of getting a professional vendor to produce the video, Principal challenged me to take it as a student-led project. After giving it much thought, given our students' talent and passion, I decided to take on the challenge despite the tight deadline and likely lack of certain resources or expertise. After getting Mark Shone and Mark Tan on board, they discussed with NYAV students who took on the task valiantly. Along the way, we had to make many edits to improve the production. But it truly exemplified the power of me as each of us had to learn on the go, and used our time management skills, and communication skills t

What was the current need/gap that you were addressing? Currently the visitorship and usage rate of library space is slightly on low side. We intend to bring back more students to library via different means such that they could make better use of library space for collaboration, studying, learning, activities, etc. 2. How had it been experimented and enacted? There is a group of PSG (20 pax) helping library regularly with book processing, wrapping, etc. While I always believe that with the talents and creativity, PSG could contribute much more to school community in various programs. In Jan, I discussed with Angie (PSG EXCO i.c. lib) about the possibilities in engaging PSG in various library programs to raise the library user awareness and in
