1.  What was the current need/gap that you were addressing?
The Performing Arts CCAs had not had an opportunity to stage their own CCA productions for a live public audience since the pandemic. Festival of Arts 2024 hence provided a platform for student agency and creative expression in the arts, as each CCA conceptualised and managed their own concert/production. FOA 2024 also added to the vibrancy of school life with immersive arts experiences by students for students.

2.  How had it been experimented and enacted?
FOA has undergone several iterations, adapting to the changing contexts and planning parameters pre- and post-pandemic. The structure of FOA 2024 includes aspects of the event that have worked well in past editions (e.g. open rehearsals for performing arts CCA members to observe rehearsal processes of other arts groups), as well as some refreshed components such as featuring collaborative items across CCAs (e.g. Chinese Dance/Modern Dance combined items / String Ensemble and Concert Band uniting to form an orchestra / Chinese Orchestra showcasing their VIA project with SAVH). It was also the first time since the pandemic that tickets were sold, with proceeds going towards selected charities. FOA 2024 scaled up its offerings of student-led arts experiences too - with a range of art/music workshops and challenges for the school population to participate in through the month of April.

3.  Which group(s) had benefited?
Students (Selected Groups), Students (Entire Cohort), Teaching Staff (Selected Groups)

4.  What was the positive impact?
Vibrant arts experiences enjoyed by many throughout the month of April; meaningful peer learning in and through the arts; consolidated planning of FOA platforms helped to streamline the work of PA CCA teachers; fundraising for charity

5.  What is a future need that this IdEas@work could meet?
A platform to develop adaptive thinkers and innovators
