Customisation of Sec 2 Arts Assembly based on Sec 2 Music Curriculum

Current Situation:
Less integration of Music curriculum in Arts Assembly programmes.

Improvement:
A professional beatboxer was invited to present at the 2019 Sec 2 Arts Assembly programme, near the end of the Sec 2 A Cappella module. Arrangements were made for the beatboxer to perform with selected student groups. Students experienced their vocal arrangements in a new context with the added dimension of beatboxing. Through this, students built confidence in performance and presenting themselves on stage.

While informative, these activities were largely passive, surface-level, and lacked authentic engagement with peers beyond Singapore. As a result, students had limited opportunities to develop deeper cross-cultural skills, global orientation, and an appreciation of Singapore’s geopolitical realities. Digital Collection of Parental Consent for Edusave Payment Standing Order (EPSO) via FormSG

The existing process for collecting parental consent for Edusave-related payments and programme participation was manual, paper-based, and time-consuming. Forms had to be printed by parents or accounts staff, physically distributed and collected by form teachers, and manually tracked against class registers. This resulted in delays, incomplete submissions, and added administrative workload for both teachers and accounts staff. There was also a risk of forms being lost or misplaced. House system: The need to provide a platform for school wide bonding amongst students so as to foster a sense of belonging, encourage team work and positive competition. 2.
