3. 推出教师引导下的学生自主阅读模式以提高阅读成效。
4. 根据各年级层次目标推出有针对性的任务型活动及配套,保证阅读基数与长效性。
5. 穿插各类阅读分享、推介与交流活动,培养学生阅读兴趣,加大学生阅读广度。
6. 加大图书馆的图书推介力度并借助推广计划提升各种推介效力。
7. 尝试建立学生阅读情况实时跟踪系统,有效获取学生阅读状况评估信息。

1. 通过各类教学活动,达成各年级分层阅读目标:
中一:“扶读”。推荐基本书目,阅读目标以增强学生阅读兴趣,提升学生阅读理解、分析、归纳等基本能力。活动过程给予学生充分指导,适当给予开放空间。
中二:“深读”。推荐深度书目,阅读目标以增强学生阅读理解深度为主,提升学生的批判性思维、深层思辨能力、综合分析应用能力。
中三:“广读”。继续推荐深度书目,阅读以拓展学生的阅读广度为目标,以学生精度与泛读相结合,开阔学生视界,提升思维广度。
中四:“自由读”。给予更高层次阅读书目推介,阅读目标以培养学生的阅读自主性与灵活性为主,激励学生能有效选择阅读内容,并能超越阅读材料本身,建立跨学科关联,提升综合应用能力。

To redesign the
Sec One Chinese IDS curriculum to align to the IDS learning objectives

Implementation Process

The Sec One HCL
teachers reviewed the sec one IDS curriculum implemented for the past 2 years
and realized that improvements can be made to the teaching topics and
pedagogies to better align it with the IDS learning objectives and concept of
sustainability.
While the main
topics on the Chinese culture aspect of “Food” and “Buildings and
architecture” remained the core of the curriculum, the focus was shifted to
the concept of “Sustainability” and the breadth of the content encompass not
only the traditional Chinese culture component, but also the local culture
component. For sustainability of food, students learnt about both the Chinese
food culture and the local hawker food culture. For sustainability of the
build environment, students learnt about traditional Chinese architecture and
local architecture.
The two unit
plans were designed using the concept-based instruction, where essential
questions were planned to guide students to understand the generalizations of
the concepts.

The curriculum
was rolled out in the span of 4 weeks during the sec one IDS curriculum
period. Through a series of learning activities which include group
discussions, interviews with hawkers during the IDS learning journeys, class
kahoot quizzes and padlet presentations, the sec one cohort students were
able to grasp the content and concepts of the unit.
Based on the
online journal reflections of some students, they shared that they enjoyed
the learning process and benefitted from the lessons. Some of them were able
to apply the knowledge and insights gained during the Chinese lessons in the design
of their IDS prototypes.

一、让学生通过游戏,以有趣的方式接触中华文化。
二、给学生机会负责游戏站,带领同侪玩游戏,培养学生的领导能力。

每个中一华文老师负责一个游戏站(翻译游戏、是非题、看图猜成语、画图接龙、比手划脚、No broken Link)。
·
老师们各自找自己任教班级的8-10名学生来帮忙负责游戏站,一般上是那些语文程度较好的学生。
·
每个老师跟负责该游戏站的学生帮手们一起讨论并确定游戏内容/题目及评分标准。
·
每个游戏站的的学生帮手都分成两组,以便来自不同班级的队伍同时进行游戏。
·
学生帮手们负责给参与者说明游戏指示及进行打分。

·
当天,学生帮手们态度积极、友善,都能清楚地说明指示及进行打分。此外,她们也在游戏过程中鼓励参与者,精神可嘉。
·
明年(2019),老师们将成立“学生小兵团”,让学生来负责学校的华文文化活动。
