Election Role Play Game

Present Situation:
Idea of peoples’ aspiration and how this is linked to self-determination is not easy to teach to students even for the GE students especially given time constraints. • There is also a need to enable the GE students to understand the concept of voting and the responsibility of voting without making it sound like a piece of propaganda.

Improvement:
Create an Election Role Play Game to not only teach history but to expose students to the experience of voting. This game was able to not only teach them about history but also the rights and responsibility of a citizen in a short span of time. Students in their reflection showed their own assessment of what they used to think and what they now know as well as the realisation of what they need to do as a citizen through the experience.
