Implementation Process
|
Team met
and implemented the practical things such as setting targets, printing and
sale of coupons (this was pushed out early to catch the CNY period), and also
brainstormed ideas for the funfair.
Sub-teams
were formed, led by Exco members. These sub-teams handled the many aspects of
the funfair e.g. coupon sales and publicity sub-team, Food &
Games/Services sub-teams to vet and guide classes in their planning for
stalls, as well as sub-teams taking charge of various events on the Funfair
day itself, such as the Shoppers’ Paradise sub-team.
The Funfair
team worked on getting sponsorships to help defray cost of funfair. Focus
also was on increasing profit margins by not relying overly on consignment
goods.
For a list
of the events led by sub-teams and the improvements, see Annex 1.
The
overarching theme of the funfair was on creating memories, and built on the
idea of nostalgia. Events and publicity evolved around this theme, most
suited to a homecoming funfair.
Thus, as
part of hyping up publicity, social media, in particular Instagram, were used
to generate interest in the event and reach out to our friends and alumni. The
Publicity team was also able to engage LTA as a partner in promoting the
funfair, as part of our bid to encourage visitors to use the public
transport.
