Trace students' attendance (for Guzheng CCA)

Contributed by ZHANG RONG HUA Current Situation: 1. Set up google form which include all Guzheng CCA girls' name 2. Make QR code which link to the form and print it out 3. Display the QR code(paper) before CCA training at CCA training room 4. Students use their HP to scan the QR code, select her name, provide the reason of late coming if need be, then submit the form 5. Teachers and student lead can collect the information of attendance(including reason of late coming) immediately. Improvement: 1. Saving time:no need to make attendance one by one, save time and get more time for training 2. Quick and easy: it is quick and easy to scan, submit form and collect, analyse data quickly and easily. 3. Accurate: Goolge form generate time stamp automatically after form submitted. 4. No cheating: teacher prepared four different form code and randomly select one for scanning before every training session start. Workshop for parents (especially lower sec's)

Contributed by ONG LAY HONG Current Situation: Lower Sec parents, whose first child is enrolled into NYGH, may not be aware of the current stage of life their child is into (looking for self identity, etc) or the different stages of life. Improvement: I think the sharing by Nick to Sec 1 FTs on 21 April during Level Meeting is very useful to parents of lower sec students. Can consider having similar talk for parents to understand their children better as they may no longer treat parents/teachers as role model, etc.

Records of staff leave

Contributed by TAN KAH KEOW Current Situation: All types of staff leave are keyed in a single excel sheet. Only the current month's leaves are reflected. Improvement: Long term leaves such as maternity, hospitalisation leaves may stretch longer than 1 month. Eg staff may take maternity on Jan - April, however, her leave is only reflected in the Jan worksheet. It will be good if her leave is also captured in the subsequent month of Feb - April so that other staff is kept informed.
